HFO learned today that Dan Collins is in line for a key role at Lotus.

“I spoke to the team at mid-day today” said a clearly delighted Dan. “the specifics of the role are still being discussed but I can tell you it involves being in the car”.

Amanda Whitaker suffered a huge crash at Mallory Park this weekend in the HSCC Formula Ford Championship.

She started from 3rd position and made a good getaway at the lights to run alongside Westie Mitchell into the first corner Gerrards, but Westie missed a gear on the exit, selecting 2nd instead of 4th gear from 3rd. This locked up the rear of the car & pitched it sideways, clouting the front left corner of Amanda's car & badly damaging the nose cone.

The cost to test is £275.00 incl. vat per car with no extra cost for additional drivers. Sessions on the day will be 2 x 45 minutes in the morning and 1 x 45 and 1 x 30 minute sessions in the afternoon. A pit garage can also be booked at a cost of £60 incl. vat.

The Motor Sports Association, governing body of UK motor sport, has appointed eight Regional Development Officers. Located throughout the Britain and Northern Ireland, these RDOs are activating a new school visits programme as part of the MSA’s far-reaching Go Motorsport initiative.

Thirty marshals received an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the FIA Formula 1 paddock at Silverstone as well as the AT&T Williams team prior to going on duty for the weekend’s British Grand Prix.

Each member of the group was a winner in a special competition arranged by Go Motorsport – the campaign set up by the Motor Sports Association (MSA), the governing body of motor sport in the UK, to help guide people into all areas of motor sport, be it as a competitor, spectator or volunteer.

James Sutton mastered some very tough conditions to win round ten of the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Croft today (Sunday 14 June 2009). Sutton headed Michael Caine at the front of the race as rain made the track very slippery, while Robert Lawson (pro-am1) and George Brewster (pro-am2) completed double wins.

Tim Bridgman swept to a fine victory in round nine of the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Croft today (Sunday 14 June 2009). Bridgman led from the start to fend off the early challenge of James Sutton, while Robert Lawson won pro-am1 and George Brewster claimed pro-am2 spoils on his Carrera Cup debut.
